Welcome to Dexterity
My name is Karina, and I’m the piercer here at Dexterity, our family-owned tattoo and piercing studio co-owned with my husband, tattoo artist Elos. I was born and raised in Cottonwood, Arizona, and being able to serve the community that shaped me is something I hold close. Dexterity was built on skill, intention, and respect for the craft, and that philosophy guides everything I do behind the needle.
Outside of the studio, I work full-time as a Registered Medical Assistant in a pediatric medical office. Working in a clinical environment every day has ingrained in me that cleanliness, precision, and safety are never optional. I bring that same medical-grade mindset into the studio—where sterility, proper technique, and attention to detail are treated as foundational, not extra.
When I’m at Dexterity, my focus is completely on my clients. Piercing is more than placement—it’s about steady hands, thoughtful execution, and trust. I take pride in creating a space that feels calm, clean, and grounded, while still honoring the grit, individuality, and edge that define tattoo and piercing culture. Every setup is intentional. Every step has a purpose.
As a newly certified piercer, I approach my work with humility, discipline, and a deep drive to continue refining my skills. Dexterity means doing things the right way—no shortcuts, no rushed work, just clean lines, proper sterilization, and precise technique. From single-use sterile needles and jewelry to thorough aftercare education, your comfort, safety, and long-term healing always come first.
