My name is Robert, though most know me as Elos. I’m a tattoo artist based in Cottonwood, Arizona, and a resident artist at Dexterity Tattoo & Piercing, where precision, intention, and respect for the craft define everything we do. I bring over 19 years of experience to the studio, shaped by dedication, discipline, and an uncompromising standard for quality.
My path into tattooing was forged early through graffiti—long before needles and machines, when letters, structure, and flow were everything. That foundation continues to influence my work today, especially in lettering, where balance, movement, and control matter most. Graffiti didn’t just lead me to tattooing—it trained my eye, disciplined my hand, and taught me how to give weight and purpose to every line. That same mindset carries into my work at Dexterity, where nothing is rushed and nothing is careless.
I specialize in black and grey, with a primary focus on realism, but I consider myself a fully rounded artist. I thrive on large-scale, high-impact projects—work that demands trust, patience, and collaboration. I work best when clients respect the process, allow creative freedom, and are open to freehand execution, letting the tattoo evolve with the body rather than forcing it into rigid boundaries. Every piece is an opportunity to study texture, depth, and contrast, translating those elements into tattoos built to age with strength and integrity.
At Dexterity, tattooing is treated as a craft, not a transaction. Every session is intentional. Every detail matters. No matter how many years you put in, there is always more to learn—new surfaces, new challenges, new ways to sharpen the work. That pursuit of refinement is what keeps my standards high and my process precise.
Outside the studio, my creativity carries into motorcycles and large-scale murals throughout the Verde Valley, keeping me connected to movement, art, and the community that surrounds Dexterity. Whether on the road, on a wall, or in the booth, creation is a way of life—not something I clock in and out of.
If you’re seeking custom tattoo work, long-form projects, or an artist who brings experience, control, and originality to every piece, I’d be honored to work with you at Dexterity Tattoo & Piercing
